About Us

Founded in 2009, Manchester Running Company is proud to be one of Connecticut's top running clubs with over 450 members. In 2023, MRC converted to a charitable non-profit. Directed and operated by Manchester natives, MRC is home to a community of runners and aspiring runners. MRC hosts events throughout the year and sponsors a rapidly growing running club. We host weekly training runs which are open to all levels of runners. MRC also sells gear and shoes from select brands and offers great discounts to club members. All proceeds from Manchester Running Company’s events benefit community non-profit organizations.

Manchester has long been the hub of running in the state, annually hosting the CIAC State High School Cross Country Class Championships, State Open Championships, and has hosted the New England Championships several times as well. In addition to the tradition of hosting numerous High School Cross Country Championships, the town draws national attention each year with the Manchester Road Race run on Thanksgiving Day and drawing thousands of participants.

Manchester is home to some great trails and parks to run in such as Wickham Park, the Rail Trail, Case Mountain, Howard/Porter Reservoir, and many excellent road routes; we tell you about some of these routes in our Where We Run section.
