Aidan Puffer got the weekend started with a WORLD record in the 5k for 11-year olds in Waltham, Mass. on Saturday evening. He ran a crazy 17:06.05 with college and adult runners. You can read all about his accomplishment here. Suffice it to say, he’s fast and it was a personal best for Aidan.

Amanda Rossolimo took down the MRC women’s masters marathon record in South Dakota on Sunday morning at the Brookings Marathon. Rossolimo was the second female overall in the race, first master’s female, and ran a great time of 3:09:25.

Not to be outdone in the master’s division, Surresh Jatti, just one month removed from the Boston Marathon, traveled down to the Poconos marathon where he ran an MRC master’s record 2:56:39 to get a personal best. Greg Tutolo also hit a big personal best in the Poconos with an impressive 2:58:13.

Tracy Deeter came within 14 seconds of an MRC women’s record in the marathon as she took the women’s title at the Gate City Marathon in New Hampshire.
