Dani Kennedy joined the MRC Running Club in January of 2012. A welcome member to the club, Dani is a regular at MRC’s Summer Track Series and a regular age-division winner in local road races around the area. Dani’s love for the sport shines through as she is a member of nearly every track and running club in the area as well as an assistant coach for Manchester High School’s girls cross country team and the head coach of Track and Field at Bolton High School.
Dani started running with her children well after high school and college but has loved it ever since. Like a fine wine, Dani only got better with age and is consistently in the top 10 of her age group and the women’s overall divisions in major and minor races around the state. In 2011 she was ranked fourth in the nation (you read that right, the whole country) in her age group in the mile and ran the Manchester Road Race in 33:37 for 5th in her age group. Building on her already impressive resume she was the 6th woman overall, and first in her age group, at the Hartford Marathon 5k in a time of just 21:02.
Dani also is the race director of the Bolton Road Race, now in its 34th year, and the very challenging Bolton XC Summer Series. Dani lives in Bolton with her husband, and they have two grown boys.
