Carrie Corbett joined the Manchester Running Company Club in February of 2010. A runner since the age of 13, she ran at Concord High School, The University of Memphis and the University of Connecticut.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., Carrie then moved to Concord, N.H. at age 12 and now finds herself in the best running town in Connecticut (Manchester for those who didn’t get that). Carrie’s favorite thing about running is the rush of racing and the freedom of the roads and is a distance specialist, concentrating mostly on the 5k and 10k but has recently been exploring the 1/2 marathon distance.
Corbett ran collegiately at the University of Memphis in 2005 and 2006 and had the race of her life at the Vanderbilt Relays in 2006 where she ran the 5k in a personal-best 17:58. Carrie then transferred to UConn and ran XC and indoor track for one season before joining the club track team during her junior and senior seasons. Corbett has run personal bests of 10:38 for the 3,000, 39:58 for the 10k and won her age group at the 2009 Hartford Half Marathon when she crossed the line in 1:33:00 and plans to improve on all of her times.
Aside from running, Carrie loves snowboarding, water skiing, board/video/card games, and ice cream!! She currently lives in Manchester and is an Email Coordinator for Ticket Network in Vernon.
