Alan McCall

Alan McCall

img_4677Al brings much racing experience to the club as he averages about 52 road races a year according to his son Mike. Between his full-time job at the USPS and his other full-time job as a baseball guru (sports fan, Little League coach, fantasy champion, and general enthusiast), Al finds time to run races all over Conn. and Mass., and even one or two in N.Y.

Most recently, Al’s 1:58 split in the mountainous first half of the Adirondack Marathon relay was so fast, it actually cost Team McCall exchange time because his son wasn’t expecting him for nearly 10 minutes. (What a way to treat your father.) Still, the net gain from that first leg was a big part of the team taking second place in the men’s relay.

Al splits his residency between the McCall homestead in Manchester, baseball fields throughout the town, and running trails throughout the state.
