The third annual Life Without Limits 5k Run, Walk & Roll will take place this Saturday, June 15th at 8:00 a.m. at Globe Hollow Reservoir on Spring Street in Manchester. The event is a challenging 5k course on paved roads and bike paths in the south Manchester with 100% of the proceeds benefitting United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Hartford. We invite runners, walkers and strollers to our third annual event.
Registration is available online here for $35 or you can register on race day for the same price. Please be aware we are expecting a crowd of over 300 runners so if you are planning to register on race day, arrive before 7:30 to register; registration will open at 7:00 a.m. and the race will start promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Along with a challenging course and a fantastic cause, each participant will receive a race t-shirt (option to upgrade to a tech shirt), SWAG bag, and a raffle ticket. UCP of Greater Hartford has put together some fantastic raffle prizes for the 2013 event and you can view those here. There will be an option to purchase additional raffle prizes should you really have your eye on something.
The course will start and finish on Spring St. in Manchester, when we say challenging we mean it, you start and finish going uphill but there are plenty of rolling downhills throughout the course. The winning time from 2012 was Jacob Gurzler in 15:54. The race will be timed by The Last Mile Racing, parking is available at Globe Hollow and at Mt. Nebo, both on Spring Street, and rest rooms will be available at Globe Hollow.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the starting line!
