While we at Manchester Running Company, of course, love our very own Finally Spring 5k! and Rockville Bank Kids Run, we also do enjoy other races! Every now and then someone will ask “is the Finally Spring 5k! a hard course?” Well to be honest, we don’t really know. We don’t actually get to run in the race, we are very busy attempting to put on a high quality event for all those who register and simply can’t get in the race.

January 18, 2011 – Manchester Running Company is pleased to welcome back Rockville Bank as a corporate sponsor for the Finally Spring 5k! Rockville Bank will directly sponsor the Youth 1-mile Fun-Run portion of the event on March 24, 2012.
The Finally Spring 5k!, which raises funds for Public Allies Connecticut has grown by over 35 participants in each year since its inception in 2009. The field for 2012 is expected to be over 300 participants with 50 youth expected to participate.

OCTOBER 4, 2011 — We strongly encourage you to register today for the 75th Running of the Manchester Road Race. The capacity for one of Manchester’s finest traditions is 15,000 runners and that capacity was reached in 2010. To date over 2,500 runners have already registered. The event is held on Thanksgiving Day.

MANCHESTER, Conn., — Manchester Running Company is pleased to announce the second running of the Spring Street Mile and the first running of the Life Without Limits 5k will be held at Globe Hollow Reservoir in Manchester on September 3rd! Proceeds from both events will benefit United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Hartford.

EAST HARTFORD, CONN., — Manchester Running Company’s Jake Gurzler returned to winning form on Sunday, June 19th as he captured the 8Furlongs Classic held at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.
Gurzler, expecting a payout of $500 for the winner, trained for the 8Furlongs Classic for the last few months and was ready to go come early Sunday morning. Just a quick note as we have received some emails and phone calls. There is NO Pride in Manchester 5k on Friday, June 10, 2011. Please DO NOT show up hoping there will be a race, we will not be there! The race was never scheduled for that day and you will be disappointed if you show up.
