Ashley (Reichelt) Gurzler  was the first female member of the MRC Running Project.  Ashley won the women’s division of the 2009 and 2010 Finally Spring 5k! and took home numerous wins over the summer of 2009 at Thursday Nights Under the Lights as well as the Wickham Park XC Series.

Gurzler ran for Manchester High School where she was a standout distance runner in cross country and track & field.  Ashley then went on to run for NCAA Division I Quinnipiac University where she was a four-year varsity runner for the Bobcats and earned her degree in History and Secondary Education.

Ashley is a native and current resident of Manchester.
